Peter De Leo

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Peter is the Managing Director of Lycopodium Limited and has been with the organisation since 1994. He was previously the Managing Director of Lycopodium Minerals Pty Ltd from 2009 through to 2015 and prior to that held the roles of General Manager – Operations, Manager of Projects and Project Director within the organisation.

Peter is a civil engineer with over 30 years’ experience in engineering and construction within the resources and infrastructure sectors. Peter possesses strong business management and project implementation skills and has been responsible for the successful delivery of many of Lycopodium’s pioneering and large scale projects. In his corporate roles he has led the organisation in shaping and reshaping as required to meet market needs and capitalise on opportunities.

A Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia, Peter maintains an active involvement with industry associations and tertiary education institutions both as a representative of the organisation and of industry.

Justine Campbell

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Justine is the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Lycopodium Limited.

Justine is an experienced CFO and highly regarded industry professional, with a strong track-record of financial leadership and transformation in ASX-listed companies.  She holds a Bachelor of Business degree (Accounting and Finance) and is a Chartered Accountant.

Karl Cicanese

MANAGING DIRECTOR, LYCOPODIUM MINERALS APAC

As the Managing Director of Lycopodium Minerals Pty Ltd, Karl is responsible for leading Lycopodium’s minerals business across the Asia-Pacific and Africa regions.

A long-serving Lycopodium staff member with more than 25 years’ industry experience, Karl has an in-depth knowledge of our business, our clients and the markets in which we operate. He has held a number of senior roles within the company, including General Manager, Group Manager and Project Director.

His experience includes hands-on leadership roles on EPC and EPCM projects working for owners, engineers and construction contractor organisations, across feasibility, design, construction, commissioning, completions and operations and maintenance, both onshore and offshore.

Karl has a Master’s degree from Murdoch University’s School of Business and Law.

Sohail Samdani

PRESIDENT, LYCOPODIUM MINERALS CANADA

Sohail is the President of Lycopodium Minerals Canada Limited, having responsibility for all of Lycopodium’s business activities in the Americas region. Prior to joining Lycopodium, Sohail held senior leadership positions within several global engineering houses.

Sohail is a hands-on, results-oriented engineer and business leader with 20 years’ industry experience in business management (including P&L responsibility), delivery of capital and sustaining projects within EPCM and EPC environments, strategy development and implementation, and business development in the Minerals and Infrastructure sectors.

As Project Director / Project Manager, he has successfully executed and delivered small to multi-billion dollar projects throughout the full development lifecycle, including conceptual, scoping, pre-feasibility, feasibility, basic and detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operations start-up.

Sohail has extensive international project experience in North America, Latin America, Africa, Australia, Russia, central Asia, and the Middle East. His project experience in Minerals includes base metals (copper, nickel, lead), precious metals (gold, silver), light metals (aluminium, alumina/bauxite), fertilizers (potash) and sulphuric acid plants. Sohail’s project experience in Infrastructure includes ports, roads, bridges, water and wastewater, and site development associated with industrial projects.

Sohail is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario and holds a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Stuart Sutherland

MANAGING DIRECTOR, LYCOPODIUM INFRASTRUCTURE

Stuart is the Managing Director of Lycopodium Infrastructure Pty Ltd and has over 26 years’ experience in the rail industry and an in-depth knowledge of rail infrastructure and operations.

Stuart has directly managed the infrastructure across major Australian rail networks including the Hunter Valley Coal Network, the NSW Country Regional Network and sections of the North-South and East-West Interstate Rail Network.

His experience is shared equally between the public and private sector and across a range of functions including technical, project delivery, consulting and senior management.

Stuart has managed numerous studies into the feasibility of rail operations both nationally and internationally. In 2012/13 Stuart assisted the World Bank in the development of the Institutional and Operations Guidelines for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Railway in the Middle East and during the same period managed the Bankable Feasibility Study into upgraded rail infrastructure and operations through Kenya and Tanzania.

Arthur Stamos

MANAGING DIRECTOR, LYCOPODIUM PROCESS INDUSTRIES

Arthur is the Managing Director of Lycopodium Process Industries and is responsible for the company’s overall management and performance.

Prior to Lycopodium, Arthur held senior management positions in large engineering consultancies and manufacturing operations within Australia and the United Kingdom.

Arthur is a Chemical Engineer and also holds an MBA and Master of Law and has over 27 years of experience in operations, coupled with site project management experience in major facilities in Southeast Asia, UK, USA and Australia/NZ.

Arthur is passionate about improving business performance by developing people and upskilling and empowering teams. He is committed to implementing process, design and delivery outcomes to maximise client outputs by challenging accepted norms, developing stronger relationships by understanding and working closely with clients’ key drivers and requirements, and delivering financial outcomes above and beyond business requirements by building relationships with key stakeholders with a focus on bottom-line performance.
