Lycopodium strives to leave a positive legacy from our activities

Lycopodium recognises that successful Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental management is of primary importance in the successful pursuit of business activities.

The Lycopodium policy is to conduct its operations in a manner that will not cause employees, contractors or the general public to be hurt, nor to have their health put at risk. Further, the Lycopodium policy is to minimise impacts on the environment. In support of these policies, Lycopodium will take all reasonably practicable steps to improve work practises in pursuit of a goal of zero injuries and zero environmental impacts upon communities in which we operate.

Lycopodium will do it’s utmost to:

  • Comply with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental laws, regulations and standards in the various locations in which we operate.
  • Implement Risk Management systems which identify, manage, monitor and improve performance, whilst also eliminating or minimising hazards.
  • Provide safe plant and equipment for safe work activities.
  • Provide management and supervisory staff who are accountable for Health, Safety and Environmental activities that affect personnel and the environment.
  • Provide relevant policies, procedures, systems and training to enable effective management of Health, Safety and Environmental activities.
  • Establish clear targets, objectives and initiatives to improve the Health, Safety and performance on all projects.
  • Provide effective consultation and communication both internally and externally for the participation in and the dissemination of Health, Safety and Environmental information.
  • Actively respond and investigate all incidents, accidents and near misses in an attempt to minimise recurrence.
  • Maintain the Health and Safety Management System in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018, and Environmental Management Systems to AS/NZS ISO 14001:2015.
  • Recognise that all employees are entitled to and responsible for contributing towards the development and continual improvement of a safe, healthy and environmentally friendly workplace.

All employees have a responsibility to work safely, comply with all procedures and take good care of their own health, safety and the environment, and to consider the health, safety and environment of others who may be affected by their actions.
