Sir William Hudson Award
  • This award, from The Institution of Engineers, Australia recognised the Hydrothermal Drying of Brown Coal Pilot Facility and the Coal Fired Gas Turbine Combustion Simulator developed for Herman Research Laboratories.
Plant of the Year
  • The Halon Destruction Facility, developed for SRL Plasma, was named Plant of the Year 1998 by the Society of Chemical Industries.
  • Also, the Resin Manufacturing Plant developed for Dulux, was recognised with this award by the Society of Chemical Industries.
Engineering Excellence Award, Institution of Engineers Australia
  • The Sulphonated Detergent Plant, developed for Colgate Palmolive, was the winner in the Manufacturing Facilities Category of the annual awards organised by The Institution of Engineers, Australia.
  • The Coal Gasification Pilot facility developed for Herman Research Laboratories.
Engineering Excellence Award, AusIndustry
  • The GlaxoSmithKline Fine Chemicals Facility won the Industrial Development or Manufacturing category.
