In 1999 a group of Lycopodium employees suggested holding a quiz night with the thought that if enough money was raised, it could be donated to the Children’s Medical Research Institute as part of Jeans for Genes Day. With the full support of the Lycopodium management and an unbelievable response from donors and enthusiastic quiz goers, a fun filled annual event was born. Lycopodium now prepares for this event as a team with about sixteen team members requesting and collecting donations, issuing invites, organising questions, booking tables and organising the venue. Several events, including a silent auction, raffles and coin donation as well as the quiz night itself, are organised over a period of a week to successfully separate Lyco personnel from their cold cash. |
