We recognise that a strong relationship with local communities, particularly important in the many remote sites in which we operate, is essential to our successful operation.  We develop this support by:

• Seeking to identify all relevant community interests in the area in which we operate, to define the basis of those interests and deal with the stakeholders in a mutually satisfactory manner.
• Formulating and implementing, for appropriate company personnel, a community awareness program, pertinent to the local situation, which will engender the appropriate understanding, sensitivity and respect towards all members of the community.
• Establishing and maintaining effective, positive and frequent communication with neighbours, communities and local authorities.
